DESIGNED BY CUHACI & PETERSON, POWERED BY LOCAI’S DIGITAL COMMERCE PLATFORM AND AUTOSTORE’S CUBE AUTOMATION, THE OMNI-CHANNEL GROCERY EXPERIENCE IS REIMAGINED.
Denver, CO, September 10, 2019: - locai in partnership with PULSE Integration and Cuhaci & Peterson today announced their omni-store concept. Using locai’s digital commerce platform, customers can shop their grocer’s aisles via in-store kiosks, mobile phones or their desktops and have their groceries picked and packed via the AutoStore system within minutes, and this future is available today.
Given the speed of the AutoStore system, shoppers can place their order in the store and within minutes have their order available for pick-up while they wait, enjoy experiencing a grocer’s food service or shop for other items they may prefer to handle on their own. The AutoStore system will also serve as the fulfillment hub for online shoppers in the area giving the grocer a more profitable fulfillment solution while improving inventory control and reducing congestion in the store aisles.
“With the anticipated growth of eCommerce in grocery, grocers need solutions that leverage their store's network. We see microfulfillment logistics as a critical piece, however, customers still need to be able to choose how and when to shop. We’re excited about this end-to-end solution as it gives customers choice while providing the grocer a flexible and cost-effective approach to meeting their customers’ needs within the existing store network.” said Steven Duffy, Vice President Grocery at Cuhaci & Peterson.
“Building on Steven’s comment, I can’t emphasize enough the flexibility and performance of the AutoStore System,” said Chris Paulsen, CEO of PULSE Integration. “Being an integrator for shuttle based systems and other robotic material handling systems, none of them come close to the AutoStore’s cabilities in terms of flexibility, scalability and storage density. We’re thrilled to partner with both locai and Cuhaci & Peterson to bring this capability to the grocery industry.”
In addition to a great customer experience, locai’s digital commerce platform integrated with the AutoStore System provides both customers and grocers a real time view of inventory into the AutoStore System so there are no longer issues of missed expectations when a customer places an order online for an item fulfilled by AutoStore. And locai’s PowerPick application not only gives grocers better tools for controlling their inventory, it also gives operators an interface for all aspects of their fulfillment operations.
